Breaking: Iran’s New Supreme Leader Says He’ll Wear Hijab to Avoid Being Recognised by Enemies
TEHRAN — Iran’s newly appointed supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has reportedly announced that he will begin wearing a hijab and full niqab during public appearances in order to avoid being recognised and targeted by hostile nations.
The decision comes after a series of alleged Israeli strikes last week that reportedly killed several high-ranking figures, including members of the Khamenei family. Security advisers say the new leader is taking “no chances whatsoever.”
Speaking to reporters through a carefully arranged curtain, the leader explained that modern warfare now requires “creative disguise strategies.”
“Our enemies rely heavily on facial recognition technology,” he said. “If they cannot see my face, they cannot recognise me. It is simple mathematics.”
According to sources within the government, the Supreme Security Council has already begun sourcing what officials describe as “strategic, high-quality security hijabs” designed to blend the leader seamlessly into large crowds.
A senior aide clarified that the move should not be seen as unusual.
“Many leaders use bulletproof vehicles,” the aide said. “Our leader will simply use a bulletproof identity.”
The disguise plan reportedly includes several additional security measures such as rotating niqab colors, voice-distortion microphones, and a convoy of identical fully veiled decoys to confuse foreign intelligence agencies.
Some citizens in Tehran expressed mild confusion after spotting several identical-looking figures entering government buildings.
“I thought it was a women’s conference,” said one passerby. “Then someone told me one of them might be the Supreme Leader. Or maybe all of them.”
Meanwhile, intelligence analysts abroad say the new strategy may complicate surveillance efforts.
One Western analyst admitted anonymously, “We prepared for missiles, cyber attacks, and drones… but we did not prepare for ‘Where’s Waldo: Supreme Leader Edition.’”
Government officials say the leader’s first public appearance in full disguise will take place later this week, though they warned that even they may not be able to confirm which veiled figure is actually him.
“We will simply assume one of them is in charge,” an official said.
