BREAKING NEWS: Sani Abacha Expresses Deep Disappointment as “All the Money I Sent Home Has Been Looted”
Former Head of State, Sani Abacha, has reportedly expressed shock and disappointment that billions of dollars he “faithfully wired back to Nigeria over the years” have been completely embezzled.
Speaking from an undisclosed afterlife location via a shaky Zoom connection, Abacha lamented what he described as a “total collapse of accountability.”
“I worked very hard to move that money out and back again. The least they could do was keep it safe,” he said, adjusting his agbada with visible frustration.
According to sources close to the situation, Abacha claims he had been secretly returning funds in batches labeled “For National Development, Please Don’t Touch.” Unfortunately, upon arrival, the funds reportedly entered what experts call “the Nigerian Bermuda Triangle of Public Finance.”
A senior government official, who chose to remain anonymous “for obvious reasons,” confirmed the development:
“We received the money. We even held meetings about it. Several committees were set up to discuss the possibility of thinking about how to use it. After that… things became unclear.”
Economic analysts say this revelation could trigger a new wave of “reverse looting,” where previously looted funds are looted again upon return.
Meanwhile, a group of concerned citizens has called for a probe into the missing returned loot, demanding transparency, accountability, and if possible a tracking number for the funds.
In a surprising twist, Abacha has vowed to stop all future “repatriation efforts” until Nigeria can guarantee the safety of looted funds.
“At this point, it’s safer where it was,” he concluded.
As of press time, several officials have denied any wrongdoing, insisting that the money is “not missing,” but rather “undergoing long-term invisibility.”
